2024 Kia Forte Interior Colors, Specs

2024 Kia Forte Interior Colors, Specs – Despite its massive cargo capacity and five-passenger seating, the Forte is not a crossover vehicle. The four-door sedan will compete against other sedans that have survived the SUV onslaught, like the Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, and Toyota Corolla. The Forte has a slanted windshield and a long wheelbase like the bigger Stinger.

The new nose, with its shorter headlights and altered bumpers, improves the design; it features an abundance of lines without seeming cluttered or garish. To disguise the Forte’s economy-car design, its plainer sides and decklid are dressed up with a modest spoiler and more beautiful taillights. The GT trim option adds larger wheels and dark accents to the vehicle.

The 2024 Kia Forte cockpit has an 8.0-inch touchscreen, a clean appearance, simple temperature controls, and fashionable circular vents. While the FE variations include a higher proportion of hard plastic and fabric upholstery, the other variants provide a softer touch and matte metallic accents. Contrast stitching and a flat-bottomed steering wheel are also on the GT Line and GT Forte sedans.

Interior

The 2024 Kia Forte seats four or five passengers, although its trunk measures 15.3 cubic feet. It’s a 6, with one additional point for the trunk. The seats on the Forte do not score bonus points, despite the fact that they give adequate support and room for two tall passengers up front. The Forte’s six-way manual front seats are standard in fabric, but may be upgraded to synthetic leather at higher specification levels. Additionally, they feature driver power adjustment and front heating and cooling. As standard, the GT features side-hugging sport seats with powerful bolsters and increased support.

The Forte is not as huge as a Civic or a Jetta at 182.7 inches long and 106.3 inches wide, but its rear bench seat gives 35.7 inches of leg space, which is ample for a 6-footer to travel behind another 6-footer. While Forte FE versions lack a fold-down rear seatback, other trim levels have one. It’s also been made better for the Forte LXS and GT-Line, as well as the GT, with the GT-Line and GT getting red stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a lot more metallic embellishment inside.

Engine

The 2024 Forte is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that provides 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque across the model levels. With a curb weight of between 2,769 and 3,079 pounds, the car’s strength is in its fuel economy; its weakness is in acceleration. Because it is connected to a CVT that shifts gears to keep the engine at its maximum power output. It behaves gently when driven cautiously. However, when the Forte GT’s 201-horsepower, 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine is combined with the 6-speed manual transmission rather than the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, it obtains a 6. With 195 lb-ft of torque, it accelerates to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds.

We haven’t driven it with the manual transmission, but it’s had to be better than Kia’s yo-yo changing dual-clutch transmission. When the Sport driving mode is chosen and the accelerator is mashed constantly, the dual-clutch responds consistently to gearchange demands; otherwise, it searches for the right cog, which becomes a nuisance at city speeds. Furthermore, the Forte’s handling is lacking. This kind of rear suspension is found on most basic cars. It helps to dampen the effects of bumpy roads. The GT’s independent rear suspension is incapable of compensating for the vehicle’s significant lean in bends or during quick lane changes. A genuinely sporty Forte would be great. Alternately, for more exhilarating driving, consider the Civic Si or the Hyundai Elantra N Line.
