2024 Kia K5 GT Line Price, Release Date, Redesign – The five-passenger sedan with a new look and vocabulary, the 2024 Kia K5 GT Line, debuts on the market in 2024. (formerly known as the Optima). The Toyota Camry, the Honda Accord, and the Hyundai Sonata are all on the other side. Four trim versions, the LX, LXS, GT-Line, EX, and GT, are available for the K5 and excel in safety and functionality.

2024 Kia K5 Redesign
Navigation systems are standard on the GT-Line and above trim levels, while the EX and GT include a surround-view camera system as a standard feature. The K5 continues the trend toward more flamboyant midsize family cars with its striking, even threatening design and interior built for long-distance or everyday travel. Lighting and a grille in the shape of a hawk can be found up front on the K5 GT Line.
Its metallic finish and multiple taillights offer a slender and beautiful appearance. The 2024 Kia K5 has piqued our curiosity due to the introduction of a new GT model. However, even though the GT can produce up to 290 horsepower, that power is sent exclusively to the front wheels, reducing steering precision and stability.
One of the best things about the K5 is that it comes with a 180-horsepower turbo-4 and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The GT has only front-wheel drive, although both have all-wheel drive. The K5 has a longer wheelbase than the Optima, allowing it to comfortably seat four people in the front and a fifth in the back for short trips.
There’s also 16.0 cubic feet of cargo capacity in the trunk, which is quite a bit. The EX and GT variants of the K5 include luxury synthetic leather and trim, while lower-end vehicles have lower-quality parts.

Interior
Although the K5 GT Line can accommodate five people and their luggage, Kia has divided its consumer base between economical entry-level vehicles and opulent premium models. We give the K5 an 8 out of 10 for its exceptional comfort and generous trunk space. The K5’s 193.1-inch length and 112.2-inch wheelbase make it a midsize car.
The chairs in front of you can be adjusted in various ways for your comfort. When it comes to entry-level automobiles, power seats are standard; on higher-end versions, heating and air conditioning are included with fake leather. The shape of Kia’s seat coolers makes long trips more uncomfortable, but in places where the catcher’s glove also serves as an oven mitt, they’re a requirement.
Despite the panoramic sunroof, 6-footers will be able to access the K5’s rear compartment easily, and they’ll love the 35.2-inch legroom. On most variants, the back seat slides down to increase the trunk’s 16.0-cubic-foot capacity. These lower-end models have more plastic than the GT or EX variants, despite the K5’s bright design. Almost everyone will be put off by the shiny plastic doorknobs, which are covered in fingerprints. Since they employ synthetic leather, the EX and GT have more expensive interiors.
Engine
All-wheel drive is standard on all K5 sedans, but a 180-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine is available on some models as an option. With quick shifts and a high peak torque early on, it’s a capable performer with excellent acceleration off the line. If you’re looking for an automobile that’s both nimble and efficient, this one is for you. The amount and duration of ice on the roadways will determine whether or not you require all-wheel drive. It is unnecessary for the vast majority of people.
When the K5 is in Sport mode, the weight on the steering is increased, making more useful on-center weight available to aid the K5 in staying on course. However, the execution is razor-sharp, lacking sentimentality. The K5’s ride can be rough and lumpy at low speeds, especially if it is equipped with the 18-inch wheels of the higher-end trim levels. On the mid-range 17-inch wheels, which are adjusted for a well-controlled, pleasant ride, it becomes better with speed. The brakes of the K5 are excellent at any speed. The pedal is never too mushy or stiff.
