2024 Kia Stinger GT2 Dimensions, Release Date, Price

2024 Kia Stinger GT2 Dimensions, Release Date, Price – The 2024 Kia Stinger is a five-door hatchback that has been updated to incorporate advanced comfort and technology. The Stinger is a rear-wheel-drive sedan, a unique type that is becoming less common. However, it makes a strong case for its continued existence with its excellent performance, stylish looks, and a long list of features.

The slight stylistic adjustments for 2024 have minimal visual impact, which is positive. The larger LED daytime running lights to give the Stinger a more frightening appearance at night, but its styling remains intact. Its proportions, like those of several contemporary automobiles, scream rear-wheel drive. Some people believe the bodywork has too many ducts and flares, but we do not believe this detracts from its appearance.

The mid-cycle revamp of the Stinger has a more potent basic engine, improved standard driver assistance systems, and an optional 10.3-inch touchscreen display. In addition to the GT-Line, GT1, and GT2 trim levels, there is a new 2024 Scorpion trim level with unique colors, black wheels, and black trim components. The front and rear light signatures of the long nose and muscular rear end of the Stinger fastback are more pronounced. While standard LED headlights and extended daytime running lights have been added to the new 18-and 19-inch wheel designs, the many air vents in front of and behind the wheels have not changed. The rear LED taillights, and quad exhaust pipes have been widened.

A new variable exhaust system allows the engine’s twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 to produce 368 horsepower and 376 pound-feet torque. The previous year’s 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine has been replaced with a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine that generates 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque and accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.2 seconds. On GT1 and GT2 variants, an eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels or all four wheels if all-wheel drive is selected. Ambient lighting and new stitch patterns have been added to the optional Nappa leather seats, and the instrument panel has been updated with more chrome and black gloss trim.

Interior

The 2024 Kia Stinger striking appearance does not come at the expense of interior space. It receives an 8 for this category, with 1 point for front seat comfort, 1 point for back seat legroom, and 1 point for cargo space. We’d add another for higher-level trims made of better materials. The Stinger’s length of 190.2 inches places it on par with bigger sedans like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series, giving enough space for both rows. The driver’s seat has basic power adjustments, and both front seats offer enough support for modest bending. All trim levels have leather upholstery, although the GT2 adds nappa leather and heated and cooled seats.

Although its roofline appears to decrease rear-seat headroom, the rear seats recline just enough to minimize sensations of claustrophobia. Furthermore, the back legroom of 36.4 inches allows passengers to spread their legs freely. Behind the liftgate of the Stinger is 23.3 cubic feet of cargo space, which is deep enough to accommodate two golf bags placed diagonally. In addition, the Stinger’s interior materials are a step up from those used in Kia’s prior passenger vehicles, with metallic controls and soft touches. Although it may not quite meet luxury standards, it is close.

Engine

The Stinger GT-Line receives a new engine, a 2.5-liter turbo-4 that is shared with the K5 GT and Sorento SUV. It produces 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque in the Stinger, an increase of 45 horsepower and 51 pound-feet over last year’s base engine. The 290-horsepower K5 GT is a delight to drive, so it is reasonable to assume that the Stinger GT-Line, equipped with the same engine (and rear-wheel drive), would be equally enjoyable. The Stinger GT-Line is equipped with a normal eight-speed automatic transmission, as opposed to the K5 GT’s eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Kia says that the Stinger GT-Line can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.2 seconds, but because of its slow start, it feels slower on the road.

This is in sharp contrast to the Stinger’s engine option, a 3.3-liter turbo-6 producing 368 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. It generates greater low-end torque and has a different first gear ratio than the traditional engine, making it seem quicker than its 0-60 mph speed of 4.7 seconds indicates. With summer tires, the maximum speed is an astounding 167 miles per hour. The Stinger has precise handling and an exceptionally pleasant ride. Although the vehicle is comfortable on winding roads, it is too hefty and lacks the agility of other sport sedans to qualify as a track weapon. It is an excellent car for daily driving and the odd canyon road excursion on the weekend to shake up the routine.
