2024 Kia Telluride Changes, Engine, Electric – The 2024 Kia Telluride, a three-row crossover SUV, debuted in 2020 and has since been named our Best Car to Buy, among other accolades. The Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Hyundai Palisade are its main competitors.

2024 Kia Telluride Redesign
Little has changed in 2024 Kia Telluride , the multi-award-winning ski resort. An adaptive cruise control system with stop-and-go capability will be standard on all models in 2024, with the LX model also getting stop-and-go powers. As a result, the 2024 Telluride’s shape seamlessly changes from rough to stylish in seconds. This car’s outside is appealing, but the inside is much more so, thanks to its quilted Nappa leather seats and wood trim.
However, the Telluride’s 291-horsepower V-6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission work well together to offer enough acceleration from the front or all four wheels. When comparing the Telluride to the dated Pilot and the very abrasive Explorer, the former’s ride quality is superior, while the latter’s towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. The vehicle gets mediocre gas mileage and does not have a hybrid option.

Interior
With the Telluride’s length and breadth, it is not difficult to fit up to eight people. It gets a 9 for comfort since it’s well-built and outfitted, and it has enough room for baggage, too. The Telluride has a wheelbase of 114.2 inches and a length of 196.9 inches, making it roughly comparable in size to the Hyundai Palisade. The front seats of the standard crossovers are made of synthetic leather and can be manually adjusted. Only the S model can come with a motorized driver’s seat that moves in eight different ways.
A motorized passenger seat is standard on the EX and SX SUVs, while Nappa leather upholstery is an option on the SX. When it comes to driving positions and room for front-seat passengers, the Telluride has always met or exceeded our expectations. A bench seat or two captain’s chairs are offered for the second row. Even if you’re a huge person, the Telluride will easily fit you.
Access to the third-row seat, which may accommodate people on shorter trips, is made easier with the seats folding and gliding forward. We apologise if we exposed the Telluride’s secret aim without issuing a warning; the rear seat has the same amount of capacity as some minivans. There is around 21 cubic feet of freight capacity below the third row. The Telluride’s load capacity increases to 46 cubic feet when the back seat is folded flat. In order to maximize space, the middle seats may be folded away.
Kia takes great care to put it together and fill the interior with high-quality materials that give the impression of a much more costly vehicle. A suede headliner and Nappa skins make some extremely expensive vehicles seem chintzy in the Telluride SX, which takes the chrome, wood, and leather to the next level.
Engine
It shares the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine as the Hyundai Palisade. The front or all four wheels can be powered by a vehicle equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 4,500-pound curb weight for the most expensive models results in smooth acceleration, rather than ferocity. The automatic transmission is always available for a quick and crisp shift, but switching to sport drive mode lowers the already-mediocre fuel efficiency. It performs best on mid-speed passes. There’s no rumbling growl from Kia’s V-6, but it’s also masked by thick glass.
The Telluride’s towing capability and traction are superior to those of its competitors. This vehicle can tow up to 5,000 lb with all-wheel drive, and it’s a superb weapon for carving up winter roads when necessary thanks to its all-wheel-drive system locking in a 50/50 power split. Even with the standard 20-inch wheels on nearly every variant, the Telluride’s ride is worth appreciating. Even if the base versions (which we haven’t tested) may be better at smoothing out speed bumps, the Telluride SX and EX models we’ve driven had no problem smoothing out even the most pronounced pavement ripples. While at first unconcerned, Telluride keeps its cool. Steering could take the lead because it gets heavier in different driving modes without giving the right input.
