2024 Kia Stinger GT2 Model, Release Date, Price – The 2024 Kia Stinger is a five-door hatchback that has been modified to include comfort and cutting-edge technology for 2024. The Stinger is a member of a rare and fast diminishing breed of rear-wheel-drive sedans, but it makes a convincing case for their continued existence with strong performance, lots of flair, and a full feature package across the spectrum.
The minor style changes for 2024 have a little effect on the look, which is a good thing. The bigger LED daytime running lights give it a more menacing image at night, but the shape of the Stinger remains unchanged. Its dimensions, like those of few current automobiles, scream rear-wheel drive. While some may claim that the bodywork is overly congested with ducts and flares, we feel this does not push the design into an uncomfortably cluttered territory.

2024 Kia Stinger Redesign
The mid-cycle refresh of the 2024 Kia Stinger has a more powerful base engine, an increased number of standard driver aid systems, and a standard 10.3-inch touchscreen. Along with the GT-Line, GT1, and GT2 trim levels, the new 2024 Scorpion trim level has special black wheels and trim components. The Stinger fastback’s large nose and muscular rear end result in a more distinct light signature front and rear. While LED headlights and longer daytime running lights are now standard, the many air vents in front and behind the new 18- and 19-inch wheel shapes remain intact. The rear has LED taillights that span the hatch in a more horizontal design, as well as wider quad exhaust pipes.
The engine’s twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 now produces 368 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque thanks to a new variable exhaust system. The 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine from last year has been replaced by a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine that generates 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque and goes from zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.2 seconds. On GT1 and GT2 models, an eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels or all four wheels if all-wheel drive is specified. On the interior, ambient lighting and new stitch patterns on the available nappa leather seats have been added, as has more chrome and black gloss trim on the instrument panel. The proportions remain unchanged, but the automobile now resembles a mid-size sedan rather than a tiny one. This results in spacious power-adjustable leather-trimmed front seats and rear seats that remain visible despite the sloping roofline.

Interior
The Stinger’s striking exterior does not come at the expense of its internal spaciousness. It earns an 8 here, with one point awarded for front seat comfort, one point awarded for rear seat legroom, and one point awarded for luggage space. We’d add another for superior materials at higher trim levels. The Stinger’s 190.2-inch length puts it in line with larger sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series, giving it considerable capacity in both rows. The driver’s seat is equipped with basic power adjustments, and both front seats provide enough support for minor bends. All grades come equipped with leather, while the GT2 adds nappa leather and heated and cooled seats.
Though it seems as though the roofline reduces back headroom, it reclines just enough to alleviate claustrophobic feelings. Additionally, the 36.4 inches of back legroom allows passengers to spread their legs comfortably. Behind the Stinger’s liftgate is 23.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity, which is deep enough to hold a pair of golf bags diagonally. Additionally, the materials used in the Stinger’s cabin are a step higher than those used in Kia’s previous passenger cars, with metallic controls and soft touches. It does not quite measure up to luxury standards, but it comes close.
Engine
The Stinger GT-Line gains a new engine, which shares a 2.5-liter turbo-4 with the K5 GT and Sorento SUV. It generates 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque in the Stinger, up 45 horsepower and 51 pound-feet over the basic engine from last year. The 290-horsepower K5 GT is an absolute joy to drive, which leads one to expect that the Stinger GT-Line, equipped with the same engine (and rear-wheel drive), will be just as much fun. Unfortunately, this is not the case, as the Stinger GT-Line is equipped with a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission rather than the K5 GT’s eight-speed wet dual-clutch unit. Kia says the Stinger GT-Line can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.2 seconds, but it looks like it takes longer on the road because of a slow start.
This is in sharp contrast to the Stinger’s engine choice, a 368-horsepower, 3.3-liter turbo-6 generating 376 lb-ft of torque. It produces more torque at the low end and has a different first gear ratio than the conventional engine, and it feels quicker than the 4.7-second 0-60 mph time suggests. The top speed with summer tires is a staggering 167 miles per hour. The Stinger is quite accurate in its handling, and the ride is really pleasant. While the car is at ease on curving roads, it is a little too hefty and lacks the agility of certain other sport sedans to serve as a track weapon. It’s a terrific vehicle for daily driving and the occasional weekend canyon road expedition or escape from the usual.
