2024 Kia Telluride, the multi-award-winning ski resort, hasn’t altered much. By 2024, all models will come standard with stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, and the LX model will also have it. Thus, the 2024 Telluride’s form turns from rugged to fashionable in seconds. Quilted Nappa leather seats and wood trim give this automobile a more luxurious feel than its exterior.
With 291 horsepower from its V-6 engine and an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the Telluride has enough power to propel it forward or all four wheels as needed. Compare the Telluride’s ride quality to that of the dated Pilot and the rough Explorer, and you’ll see that the former has a 5,000-pound towing capacity advantage over the latter. The gas mileage is poor, and there is no option for a hybrid.
Interior
Thanks to its length and breadth, up to eight people are easily accommodated in the Telluride. It earns a 9 out of 10. Since it’s well-built and furnished, and there’s adequate capacity for your luggage, it earns a 9 out of 10. The Telluride is close in size to the Hyundai Palisade thanks to its 114.2-inch wheelbase and 196.9-inch overall length. It’s possible to manually adjust the synthetic leather seats in the front of the basic crossovers. Only the S trim level is equipped with an eight-way motorized driver’s seat.
The EX and SX SUVs come standard with a powered passenger seat, while Nappa leather upholstery is an option for the SX. The Telluride has consistently met or surpassed our expectations in driving positions and space for front-seat passengers. There are two options for the second row of seats: a bench seat or two captain’s chairs. Telluride can accommodate even the heaviest of travelers.
Seats that fold and glide forward make it easier to get to the third row, which might hold passengers on shorter excursions. There was an error of judgment; the Telluride’s back seat can hold as many people as some minivans. Below the third row, there is around 21 cubic feet of cargo space. The Telluride’s cargo capacity rises to 46 cubic feet when the back seat is folded flat. The middle seats may be folded down to free up more room.
Kia takes great care to put it together and fill the interior with premium materials to provide the impression of a more expensive vehicle. To put it another way, the Telluride SX elevates chrome, wood, and leather to a new level with its suede headliner and Nappa leather.
Engine
The V-6 engine from the Hyundai Palisade is used in this model. The front or all four wheels may be driven with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The most costly vehicles’ 4,500-pound curb weight results in a smooth acceleration rather than a ferocious one. Switching to sport driving mode reduces the car’s already-mediocre fuel economy by a considerable amount. Mid-speed passes are where it shines. Kia’s V-6 doesn’t rumble or growl, but a thick layer of glass also hides it.
There is no comparison between the Telluride’s towing and traction abilities and those of its rivals. Towing capacity of up to 5,000 lb is possible with this vehicle’s all-wheel drive, and its all-wheel-drive technology locks in a 50/50 power split for slicing up snowy surfaces. Despite the Telluride’s standard 20-inch wheels on practically all models, the car’s ride quality is admired. However, even though we haven’t tested the basic models, the Telluride SX and EX models we’ve driven had no trouble smoothing out even the most noticeable pavement irregularities.

The Telluride LX starts at $34,015 with eight seats, power features and a 10.3-inch touchscreen that has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The $39,015 Telluride EX and the $43,915 Telluride SX come with leather interiors, sunroofs, and ventilated seats.
