Kia Telluride X Pro 2024 Changes, Engine, Electric – Our Best Car to Buy award and other accolades have been bestowed upon the 2024 Kia Telluride three-row crossover SUV since its launch in 2024. The Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Hyundai Palisade are all competitors.
2024 Kia Telluride Redesign
Little has changed for 2024 Kia Telluride , which has won numerous awards. By 2024, all models will have a 10.3-inch touchscreen and automatic temperature control, with adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality available on the LX and Sedition models. Telluride’s angular and curvy design seamlessly moves between raw and refined. The SX’s quilted Nappa leather and wood trim make the cabin even more luxurious than the body.
However, the Telluride’s 291-horsepower V-6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission work well together to provide enough acceleration from the front or all four wheels. Even compared to the Pilot and the Explorer, the Telluride’s ride quality is exceptional: it smothers bumps and road seams while towing up to 5,000 lb. simultaneously. There is no hybrid model available for this vehicle.
Interior
With the Telluride’s length and width, eight people can be comfortably accommodated. It’s a 9 for comfort because it’s nicely built and equipped, with plenty of room for luggage. The Telluride and Hyundai Palisade are nearly equal in terms of overall length and wheelbase at 114.2 inches and 196.9 inches, respectively. The front seats of the standard crossovers are made of synthetic leather and can be manually adjusted. Only on the S model can you find the eight-way motorized driver’s seat.
Nappa leather upholstery is available on the Telluride SX, as is leather upholstery on the EX and SX SUVs. The Telluride has consistently met or exceeded our expectations regarding driving positions and space for front-seat passengers. Two captain’s chairs or a bench seat can be had in the second row. The Telluride will easily fit you even if you’re a considerable person.
Access to the third-row seat, which may accommodate people on shorter trips, is easier with the chairs folding and gliding forward. We apologize if we revealed Telluride’s hidden aim without issuing a warning; the rear seat has the same amount of capacity as some minivans. There are about 21 cubic feet of freight capacity below the third row. The Telluride has 46 cubic feet of cargo space when the back seat is folded. To maximize space, the middle seats can be folded away.
Kia’s use of high-quality materials and meticulous assembly makes the interior look more costly. A suede headliner and Nappa skins make some expensive vehicles appear chintzy in the Telluride SX, which takes the chrome, wood, and leather to the next level.
Engine
It shares the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine with the Hyundai Palisade to create 291 horsepower. It may power the front wheels or all four axles when mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. 4,500-pound curb weight for the most expensive models results in effortless acceleration rather than a furious forward thrust. However, when driving in sports mode, the automatic transmission is always ready to make a rapid and crisp shift, but the already-mediocre fuel economy takes a hit. However, the Kia V-6 lacks the powerful growl of a Honda V-6 and is also covered by thick glass.
Telluride’s towing capability and traction are superior to those of its competitors. This vehicle can tow up to 5,000 lb with all-wheel drive, and it’s an excellent weapon for carving up winter roads when necessary, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system locking in a 50/50 power split. Even with the standard 20-inch wheels on nearly every variant, the Telluride’s ride makes it so appealing.
Even if the base models (which we haven’t tried) may be better at damping high-velocity bumps, the Telluride SXs and, as we’ve driven, had no problem mitigating pavement ripples of a significant magnitude. First, Telluride appears unfazed, maintaining its calm demeanor. Steering could be in the lead because it gets heavier in different driving modes without giving the correct input.

Seating for eight, power features, a 10.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are all included in the $34,015 price of the Telluride LX. While we like the $39,015 Telluride EX’s leather interior, sunroof, and ventilated front seats, the $43,915 Telluride SX offers a lot.
