2024 Kia Sportage SX Prestige Release Date, Price – The 2024 Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV whose size and capabilities have increased with each generation. The Sportage competes with vehicles such as the Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape. It has seating for five and is available in hybrid and off-road models. The 2024 Sportage is understated to distinguish itself from some of its rivals.
The lack of pretentiousness wins us over. We award it one point for interior and exterior aesthetics, for a total of seven. Its long wheelbase and short overhangs contribute to the Sportage’s athletic, balanced stance. However, like a nice pair of athletic shoes, the extended roofline pulls the curvature back into the building’s heels. It seems tidy and lean, devoid of discernible fat.

2024 Kia Sportage Redesign
As it will be replaced the following year, the 2024 Kia Sportage will undergo modest modifications. The previous Sportage S model has been renamed the Nightfall Edition, and the EX now comes standard with a power sunroof. The Sportage LX and SX Turbo maintain most of their original characteristics. Modifications to the design of the Sportage have not altered its outstanding appearance. The well-designed interior and equipped with a massive touchscreen for entertainment, remind us how nice it would be to have more oversized windows and improved views.
The 181-horsepower inline-four engine that powers the majority of Sportage crossovers will please the vast majority of its owners. With its six-speed automatic transmission and selectable all-wheel drive, this vehicle is nearly cumbersome. We’d still choose it over the 240-horsepower turbo-4; we appreciate its ferocious acceleration but groan at the price tag. The SX Turbo handles better because it has a stronger suspension and wider wheels, but we still wouldn’t call it “sporty.”
With the rear seatbacks folded down, the Sportage can tow up to 60 cubic feet of cargo and easily accommodate four tall passengers. Priorities are totally at your discretion. Every Sportage has automatic emergency braking and great NHTSA crash-test scores, but only the SX Turbo gets the Top Safety Pick title from the IIHS, which uses a stricter algorithm.

Interior
The Sportage achieves a seven in this category, offering space for up to four large adults and a substantial amount of cargo. It is a vehicle capable of doing many tasks simultaneously. The vehicle performs its basic job of transporting the driver and front passenger in relative peace, which is wonderful. In the LX and Nightfall trim levels, the front seats are covered with knit fabric, but the Sportage EX and SX Turbo have leather upholstery. Even though we would like the cushions to be bigger, the front seats are comfortable and the higher trims have power adjustments.
The back seat legroom of 38.2 inches is sufficient for the majority of tall people, but headroom is on the tight side. On the other hand, three enormous adults, on the other hand, will require a shoehorn and blue words in order to fit. The cargo capacity has increased from 30.7 to 60.1, and the load floor is not unduly high. While the Sportage’s cabin is well-built, the engine may produce strained sounds when pushed towards the redline.
Engine
Not much with the standard 2.4-liter inline-four engine. It develops 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque and sends it to the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox for decent acceleration. Its engine noise is not very refined, but it does not penetrate the interior unduly. It is far more thrilling that the Sportage SX Turbo’s 2.0-liter turbo-4 delivers 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
With the same 6-speed automatic transmission, the increase in boost yields a third more power. It is thirsty for both fuel and winding roads, and it delivers its power with vigor, with front-wheel-drive models drawing torque at the wheel.
