Kia Telluride Electric 2024 Engine, Changes, Price – The 2024 Kia Telluride three-row crossover SUV has earned our Best Car To Buy award and others, as well as Kelley Blue Book’s Best Car To Buy award, since its launch in 2020. It also includes upmarket accents in its higher-tier variants. It competes with the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Hyundai Palisade.

In addition to being able to tow up to 5,000 pounds, the Telluride absorbs bumps and road seams silently. The fuel economy is modest, and there is no hybrid option available.

Interior
The length and width of the Telluride make accommodating up to eight passengers easier. The comfort rating is a nine since the vehicle is well-constructed and has enough load space. The Telluride proportions are roughly equal to those of the Hyundai Palisade, with a wheelbase of 114.2 inches and a total length of 196.9 inches. The base crossovers have manually adjustable synthetic leather front seats, while the S model has an eight-way motorized driver seat.
The Telluride EX and SX SUVs come standard with leather upholstery and a power passenger seat, with an upgrade to Nappa leather available on the SX. Each time we’ve driven a Telluride, we’ve been impressed by the driving position, space surrounding the front passengers, and iPhone and critical storage. The second row is convertible between two captain’s chairs and a bench seat. The Telluride has enough space for prominent people in all situations.
The seats fold down and glide forward to ease access to the third-row heart, which is suitable for short trips. There is as much space in the back as in some minivans; we regret if we inadvertently revealed Telluride’s hidden agenda. Behind the third row is approximately 21 cubic feet of storage space. When this seat is collapsed, the Telluride offers 46 cubic feet of storage capacity. When the middle seats are folded down, the available space increases to 87 cubic feet.
Kia meticulously assembles the Telluride and lines the interior with materials that make it appear more expensive than it is. The Telluride SX goes a step further with chrome, wood, and leather—a suede headliner and Nappa skins at the top of the line—making some extremely expensive automobiles feel inexpensive.
Engine
The Telluride’s 291-hp, 3.8-liter V-6 engine is shared with the Hyundai Palisade’s engine. It transfers power to either the front wheels or all four axles via its eight-speed automatic transmission. The curb weight of the top trims is roughly 4,500 pounds, which, according to the rules of physics, allows for effortless acceleration rather than violent forward velocity.
It’s better at passing at mid-speed, and the automatic transmission can always shift quickly and precisely. However, putting it in “sport drive mode” makes the already average fuel economy even worse.The Kia V-6 lacks the mature growl of a Honda V-6, even being muffled by thick glass.
The Telluride provides better towing and traction. When fitted with all-wheel drive, it can tow up to 5,000 lb, and with its all-wheel-drive system locked in a 50:50 power split at speeds up to 40 mph, it is a valuable tool for crossing ice roads when absolutely necessary. Even with the 20-inch wheels that are almost always standard, the Telluride is praised for how well it rides.
The Telluride SXs and EXs we’ve driven are excellent at smoothing out unsightly pavement ripples. Base models (which we haven’t tested) may be better at absorbing high-velocity bumps, but we’ve found Telluride SXs and EXs to be adept at smoothing out unsightly pavement ripples. For the most part, Telluride is composed and unruffled. In some driving settings, the steering gains weight without corresponding input.

2024 Kia Telluride Release Date and Price
The base Telluride LX model costs $34,015 and has eight seats, electric accessories, a 10.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. We would opt for the $39,015 Telluride EX with its leather interior, power tailgate, sunroof, and cooled front seats, but the $43,915 Telluride SX is also intriguing.
