Kia Forte 2024 Price, Release Date, Model – The 2024 Kia Forte small sedan competes with the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Mazda 3, and Toyota Corolla in a declining category. The Forte is one of the most attractive small vehicles on the market. The long wheelbase and slanted windscreen are design characteristics borrowed from the Kia Stinger, while the 18-inch alloy wheels on the sporty GT model give the compact car a bold appearance. It’s a 7, with one point for the sleek exterior and one more for the well-kept interior.
The most expensive GT variant is also the most attractive because of its black exterior highlights and rear spoiler. The GT-Line includes the lip spoiler, fog lights, and the sport grille and side sills of the GT without the cost. Inside the GT-Line, the flat-bottomed steering wheel complements the synthetic leather and contrast-stitched sport bucket seats.

The GT has a 201-hp, 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine, but we’d go with the manual because the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox isn’t very reliable.
Forte’s interior space and innovative packaging are on par with the Honda Civic. However, the standard FE model’s bench seat restricts the adaptability of the 60/40-split folding rear seats available on the LXS, GT-Line, EX, and GT models. The trunk capacity of 15.3 cubic feet is decent for a small sedan, but a hatchback would be superior.

Interior
The 2024 Kia Forte features a decently-sized trunk with 15.3 cubic feet of room that can be increased with 60/40-split folding rear seats on all models except the basic FE, which has a bench seat. Still, the Forte gets an extra point for its cargo space, bringing its total score to 6.
The Forte is less extensive than the Jetta and Civic, but not much. The rear seat can comfortably accommodate four adults. Six-way manually adjustable front seats accommodate the majority of body types.
The GT-Line, EX, and GT trims adorn the inside with quality materials like a soft-touch dashboard, leather-wrapped steering wheels, red contrast stitching, and matte plastic chrome elements. At the same time, the stripped-down FE model reveals the cheap car’s origins. The side-hugging bolsters on the GT’s sport bucket seats are neither too stiff nor too soft.
Engine
The inline-four engine produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque and, when paired with the continuously variable automatic transmission, resists acceleration with reluctance; pushing it seems to fill the interior with self-loathing. If you drive softly, the vehicle reacts in kind. The standard is a 6-speed manual transmission, but the $900 CVT option provides a 4-mpg improvement at the pump. The KiaGT retains a sporty demeanor for the top-tier GT. It comes out in 2024 and uses the 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine from the Elantra N-Line. It makes 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, which lets the Forte go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds.
The manual gearbox is available for an additional $600, and although we haven’t tested it, we’re convinced that it’s preferable to the unrefined and unrepentant 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In Sport mode, under full throttle, the transmission changes consistently; nevertheless, under normal driving conditions, the transmission oscillates at approximately 2,000 rpm, shifting indecisively between gears. In the GT, an independent rear suspension substitutes the torsion beam seen in the rest of the range, but the MacPherson struts up front and the car’s small weight cannot compensate for its inability to hold bends at high speeds. During abrupt lane changes, there is substantial lateral motion.

The standard FE model with a 6-speed manual transmission costs $18,855, while the optional CVT increases the price by $900. The price differential stays acceptable until the EX and GT, whose turbo-4 engine tops the lineup at $24,385.
