Kia Forte 2024 Interior Colors, Specs – The 2024 Kia Forte features a spacious cargo hold and seating capacity for five, but it’s not a crossover. The four-door sedan competes with sedans like the Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, and Toyota Corolla that have managed to hold on in the face of the onslaught of SUVs.
There are some similarities between the Forte’s sloped windshield and long wheelbase and the Stinger, a larger car. Toyota has taken a significant stride forward with its new snout, which has slimmer headlights and reworked bumpers. The Forte’s plainer flanks and decklid dress up its basic economy-car design with a modest spoiler and nicer taillights. The wheels are more prominent, and the trim is darker on GT variants.

An 8.0-inch touchscreen, simple temperature controls, and elegant circular vents adorn Forte’s dashboard. The soft-touch materials and matte metallic trim are more prominent on the FE models, while the hard plastic and fabric upholstery are more prevalent on the other models. Stitching in different colors and a flat-bottomed steering wheel have been added to the GT-Line and GT Forte sedans. They also have perforated synthetic leather seats. More lines are used to create an even more modern appearance in the front bumpers and trimmer headlamps, which is a significant step forward for the car’s exterior design. The 2024 Kia Forte less flashy rear lights and plainer sides and decklid give it a more premium look than an ordinary budget vehicle. The wheels are more prominent, and the trim is darker on GT variants.
Interior
The Forte can comfortably seat four to five people, but its 15.3-cubic-foot trunk is surprisingly spacious for a vehicle of its size. It’s a six here, with the box scoring one point higher than usual. It’s hard to give extra marks to the Forte’s seats because they are supportive and roomy for tall passengers upfront. The Forte’s 6-way manual front seats, which come standard with cloth upholstery but can be had in synthetic leather on higher trim levels, can be equipped with power adjustment, heating, and cooling for the driver. Side-hugging sport seats with firm bolsters and superior support are available in the GT.
For its size, the Forte is smaller than the Civic or the Jetta at 182.7 inches long and 106.3 inches wide, but the rear bench seat’s 35.7-inch leg space is sufficient for a 6-footer to sit behind another 6-footer. The rear seatback in the Forte FE sedan is not foldable, but it is in the other trim levels. With red stitching, a red leather-trimmed steering wheel, and additional metallic trim, the Forte GT-Line and GT enjoy even better inside materials than the Forte LXS.
Engine
The 2024 Forte has a 2.0-liter inline-4 with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque under the hood. In light of its 2,769 to 3,079 lb. weight, the car’s accelerating ability isn’t as impressive as it could be. It doesn’t go ahead quickly and is extremely noisy thanks to the CVT, which sloshes between gear ratios to keep the engine running close to its maximum power. It reacts gently when gently pushed. This category has two options: the Forte GT’s 201-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder, which is best matched with the 6-speed manual gearbox, or Hyundai’s new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It can hit 60 mph in 6.7 seconds thanks to 195 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest cars on the market.
We haven’t tried the manual transmission yet, but we expect it to be superior to Kia’s jerky dual-clutch transmission. It’s far more predictable when the dual-clutch is in Sport drive mode and being pressed with the throttle, but it’s frustrating while driving about town searching for the perfect cog. In addition, there is nothing special about the way the Forte goes. Simple torsion-beam rear suspensions come standard on entry-level vehicles, and they do a respectable job of dampening road imperfections. The new independent rear suspension doesn’t soak the substantial lean into corners and through quick lane changes in the GT, making it more agile and responsive. Look no further than the Civic Si or Hyundai Elantra N Line when it comes to fun driving.
