When the sport driving mode is chosen and the accelerator is mashed repeatedly, the dual-clutch responds consistently to gearchange requests; otherwise, it hunts for the correct cog, which is irritating at city speeds. In addition, the Forte’s handling is inadequate. Simple torsion-beam rear suspension is effective at absorbing the effects of uneven roads on the cheapest models. The rear suspension of the GT is independent, so it does not dampen the car’s significant lean into corners or fast lane changes.
