Kia Stinger GT2 2024 Redesign, Release Date, Models – The 2024 Kia Stinger has undergone a complete makeover to provide more comfort and cutting-edge technology. Rear-wheel-drive sedans are becoming rarer, but the Stinger makes a persuasive case for their survival with its solid performance, a wide range of styles, and a comprehensive equipment list.
Because they are so tiny, the style updates for 2024 will have little impact on the vehicle’s look. The Stinger’s shape isn’t changing, but its LED daytime running lights have been increased to give it a more menacing image at night. Few modern cars have proportions that scream rear-wheel drive like this one. Some people might say that the vehicle’s bodywork is too busy, but we don’t think this takes away from the design.
2024 Kia Stinger Redesign
Stinger’s core engine has been refined to enhance standard driving assistance technology. Display size: 103.3 mm2. 2024 Kia Stinger Scorpion is the latest trim level to have unique black wheels and black trim components, in addition to the GT-Line, GT1, and GT2 trim levels. The Stinger fastback’s long nose and muscular rear provide a more distinct light signature front and back. The many air vents in front and behind the new 18- and 19-inch wheel designs remain intact, even if LED headlights and longer daytime running lights are now standard. The four exhaust pipes have been made more prominent, and the LED taillights have been moved to the sides of the hatch.
The twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 produces 368 hp and 376 pound-feet of torque thanks to a new variable exhaust system that adds three horsepower. An engine that produces 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque and goes from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds has been replaced with a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine. An all-wheel drive is an option on the GT1 and GT2 models, and it’s available with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Ambient lighting, new stitch patterns on the available Nappa leather seats, and chrome and black gloss trim added to the instrument panel bring the interior up to date. The car’s proportions haven’t changed, and it’s more like a mid-size sedan than a small one.
Engine
The Stinger GT-Line gets a new engine that shares the 2.5-liter turbo-4 with the K5 GT and Sorento SUV. The Stinger’s basic engine now generates 45 more horsepower and 51 more pound-feet of torque than last year’s model. The K5 GT’s 290-horsepower engine (and rear-wheel drive) make it an obvious choice for the Stinger GT-Line with the same machine. The Stinger GT-Line opts for an eight-speed automatic transmission rather than the K5 GT’s eight-speed wet dual-clutch unit, which makes all the difference in performance and efficiency. Even though Kia says that the Stinger GT-Line can sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.2 seconds, the car’s slowness on the road is attributable to a sluggish start.
With its 368 horsepower and 3.3-liter turbo-6 delivering 376 pound-feet of torque, the Stinger’s powerplant is dramatically different. Since the conventional engine’s first gear is shifted differently, it produces greater low-end torque and accelerates more quickly, despite the slower 0-to-60-mph time (4.7 seconds). The top speed with summer tires is 167 miles per hour. The Stinger’s handling is razor-sharp, and the ride is supple and smooth. However, the car is a joy to drive over twisting roads, but it lacks the agility and responsiveness of certain other sports sedans. On weekends, or as a vacation from the daily grind, it’s an excellent vehicle for a few canyon road excursions.
2024 Kia Stinger Release Date and Price
Compared to 2024 versions, the GT-larger Line’s turbo-4 engine starts at $37,135, which includes a $1,045 destination charge. The twin-turbo V-6-powered 2024 Stinger GT2 costs $54,535, increasing $900 over last year’s model.
