New Kia Forte 2024 Colors, Interior, Models – The 2024 Kia Forte is not a crossover vehicle, despite its vast cargo capacity and seating for five. The four-door sedan will take on the Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, and Toyota Corolla, all of which have weathered the SUV storm. With its tilted windshield and expanded wheelbase, the Forte looks to be the bigger car.
The revamped nose boosts the design with its shorter headlights and rebuilt bumpers; it features many lines without seeming cluttered or flashy. A minor spoiler and more appealing taillights disguise Forte’s economy-car design on the flanks and decklid. The GT trim level includes black accents and larger wheels.

An eight-inch touchscreen, a minimalist design, easy temperature controls, and attractive circular vents distinguish Forte’s interior. Other variations have more plush seating and matte metallic accents in place of the harsh plastic and fabric found on the FFE models. The GT-Line and GT Forte cars are contrast stitching, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and perforated synthetic leather upholstery on the inside.

Interior
The 2024 Kia Forte 15.3-cubic-foot trunk dwarfs its four-or five-passenger capacity. It’s a 6, and the box gives you an extra one. In spite of providing adequate support and room for two tall people, the Forte’s seats don’t get an extra point. Standard in the Forte are six-way manual front seats available in fabric or synthetic leather, depending on the model level. In addition, the driver’s power may be adjusted, and the front can be heated and cooled. The GT variant has sport seats with strong bolsters and extra support.
However, even though the Forte isn’t as big as the Civic or Jetta, it has 35.7 inches of rear bench seat legroom, which is more than enough for two 6-footers to ride side by side. The rear seatback does not fold in the Forte FE, although it does in higher trim levels. For the Forte LXS, GT-Line, and GT models, interior materials are top-notch. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and extra metallic accents are included in the package. Metallic trim is more prominent on the GT-Line and GT versions.
Engine
The FE and GT-Line trims of the 2024 Forte are powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. In terms of acceleration, the car struggles because of its hefty curb weight of between 2,769 and 3,079 pounds. While driving, it travels slowly and is fairly loud since the CVT constantly switches gears in order to maintain the engine running at or near its maximum power output. If you drive it carefully, there are no harsh reactions. Instead of the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Forte GT’s 201-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo-4 is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission for a 6. 195 lb-ft of torque helps it reach 60 mph in 6.7 seconds.
With sports mode enabled and the accelerator continually mashed, the dual-clutch shifts gears reliably; otherwise, it tries to find the right gear at city speeds, which is a pain. The Forte also has poor handling. The basic torsion-beam rear suspension on the entry-level models does an excellent job of cushioning the shocks caused by rough roads. Due to its independent suspension, the GT can lean into corners and make quick lane changes without being dampened by the car’s significant lean. For sportier driving, the Forte would be suitable; for more exhilarating driving, choose the Civic Si or the Hyundai Elantra N line.

An 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connectivity is included in the Forte’s price of $20,085. You can have a more luxurious cabin and split-folding back seats if you upgrade to the LXS, or you can get the GT-Line with an even bigger display for $22,885.
