New Kia Sportage 2024 Release Date, Changes, Price – The 2024 Kia Sportage is a small crossover SUV that has grown in size and capability with each iteration. The Sportage, which seats five and is available in hybrid and off-road configurations, competes with cars such as the comparable Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape. The 2024 Sportage is dressed down to outshine some of its competitors.
It makes no attempt to be pretentious, which wins us over. We award it a point for interior and external aesthetics, resulting in a score of 7. The Sportage’s sporty, poised posture is helped by its comparatively long wheelbase and small overhangs. However, like a good sports shoe, the stretched roofline draws the curve back toward its heels. It seems neat and slim, devoid of visible fat.

2024 Kia Sportage Redesign
Because it will be replaced next year, the 2024 Kia Sportage will have minor alterations. The old Sportage S is renamed the Nightfall Edition, while the EX now has a standard motorized sunroof. The Sportage LX and SX Turbo retain the majority of their original features. The Sportage maintains a striking silhouette with slight modifications to its design. Its tight shape is reminiscent of our beloved high-top sneakers; the cabin, while well-designed and equipped with a large touchscreen for entertainment, reminds us how lovely it would be to have more oversized windows and better outward visibility.
The 181-horsepower inline-4 that drives the majority of Sportage crossovers will satisfy virtually all of their drivers. It won’t be rushed thanks to its six-speed automatic transmission, and with selectable all-wheel drive, it’s close to ponderous. We’d still select it over the 240-horsepower turbo-4; we adore its gutsy acceleration, but the hefty sticker price makes us cringe. The SX Turbo further improves handling with a firmer suspension and larger wheels, but it still falls short of our definition of “sport.”
The Sportage comfortably seats four prominent people, and the crossover can tow up to 60.1 cubic feet of baggage with the rear seatbacks folded down. Priorities are entirely up to you. You also get safety: every Sportage comes standard with automated emergency braking and excellent NHTSA crash-test ratings, while the IIHS’s more finicky algorithm awards the Top Safety Pick distinction to just the SX Turbo.

Interior
The Sportage scores a seven here, with room for up to four large adults and a good quantity of stuff. It’s a vehicle that is capable of executing numerous jobs concurrently. The vehicle’s primary function is to transport the driver and front passenger in relative tranquility, which it admirably. In the LX and Nightfall trim levels, the front seats are upholstered in casual knit fabric, while the Sportage EX and SX Turbo crossovers are upholstered in leather. While we’d prefer bigger cushions, the front seats are supportive and include power adjustability on higher trim levels.
The 38.2 inches of leg length in the rear seat accommodates the majority of long-legged passengers, but head room is on the small side. Three large adults, on the other hand, will not fit in without the use of a shoehorn and blue words. The fold-down rear seats increase cargo space from 30.7 to 60.1 cubic feet, and the load floor is not excessively high. While the Sportage’s interior is finely constructed, the engine may sound strained when driven close to the redline.
Engine
Not very much with the basic 2.4-liter inline-4. It generates 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque and transmits it to the front wheels via a 6-speed automated transmission for absolutely acceptable acceleration. Its engine noise is not very refined, but it does not intrude excessively into the interior. The Sportage SX Turbo’s 2.0-liter turbo-4 produces 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, which is far more exciting.
It increases boost to produce a third more power with the same 6-speed automatic transmission. It’s thirsty for both gasoline and twisty roads, and it delivers its power with vigour, with torque pulling at the wheel in front-drive variants.

2024 Kia Sportage Release Date and Price
The price has increased by at least $1,900 over the previous year, with the new Sportage LX beginning at $27,205, including a $1,215 destination fee. All-wheel drive adds $1,800 to the price. SX, EX, SX-Prestige, and X-Line trim levels are now available, as are two new off-road packages, the X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige. AWD is standard on the X-Line and X-Pro versions. At $38,005, the Sportage X-Pro Prestige is the highest-priced model.
