New Kia Stinger 2024 GT2 Model, Release Date, Price – The 2024 Kia Stinger is a five-door hatchback that has been redesigned for 2024 to offer additional comfort and cutting-edge technology. The Stinger is a member of a unique and rapidly dwindling breed of rear-wheel-drive sedans. Still, it makes a compelling argument for their survival with powerful performance, plenty of flairs, and a robust feature set throughout the lineup.

The minor stylistic adjustments for 2024 do not significantly alter the appearance, which is positive. The enlarged LED daytime running lights give it a more threatening appearance at night, but the changes maintain the Stinger’s design. Its proportions scream rear-wheel drive, as do the proportions of few modern cars. On GT1 and GT2 versions, an eight-speed automatic transmission transmits power to the rear wheels or all four wheels through optional all-wheel drive. The inside has been updated with ambient lighting and new stitch patterns on the optional nappa leather seats, as well as more chrome and black gloss trim on the instrument panel. The dimensions remain the same, and the car is more akin to a mid-size sedan than a small one.

We’d add one more for excellent materials in the higher trims. With a length of 190.2 inches, the Stinger is comparable to bigger sedans like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series, providing ample space in both rows. The driver’s seat features basic power adjustments, and both front seats are supportive enough for mild bends. Leather is standard on all grades, with the GT2 receiving nappa leather and heated and cooled seats.

Though its roofline appears to cut into rear headroom, it reclines just enough to minimize claustrophobic feelings. Additionally, the 36.4 inches of rear legroom provides adequate space for passengers to extend their legs. There is 23.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the Stinger’s liftgate, which is deep enough to carry a pair of golf bags diagonally. Additionally, the Stinger’s cabin materials are a step up from those seen in Kia’s other passenger cars, with metallic controls and soft touches. It’s not quite up to luxury standards, but it’s close.

The Stinger GT-Line receives a new engine, sharing its 2.5-liter turbo-4 with the K5 GT and Sorento SUV. Kia claims the Stinger GT-Line accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds, but on the road, it feels slower due to a sluggish push off the line.

This is in stark contrast to the Stinger’s chosen engine, a 368-horsepower, 3.3-liter turbo-6 producing 376 lb-ft of torque. It has more low-end torque and a different first gear ratio than the standard engine, and it feels faster than the 4.7-second 0-60 mph time suggests. With summer tires, the peak speed is a whopping 167 miles per hour. The Stinger’s handling is precise, and the ride is really comfortable. While the vehicle feels at home on winding roads, it is a little too heavy and lacks the agility of certain other sport sedans to be a track weapon. It’s a great car for everyday driving, as well as a trip down a canyon road on the weekend or as a break from the daily routine.
