The Stinger is a member of a unique and fast diminishing breed of rear-wheel-drive sedans, but it makes a convincing case for their continued existence with excellent performance, plenty of style, and a strong feature set across the lineup.
The minor style changes for 2024 have a minimal effect on the appearance, which is a good thing. The bigger LED daytime running lights give it a more menacing image at night, but the design of the Stinger remains unchanged. On GT1 and GT2 models, an eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels or all four wheels when all-wheel drive is specified. Ambient lighting and new stitch patterns on the available nappa leather seats, as well as extra chrome and black gloss trim on the instrument panel, have been added to the interior.
Interior

Additionally, the 36.4 inches of rear legroom allows passengers to extend their legs comfortably. Behind the Stinger’s liftgate is 23.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity, which is deep enough to hold a pair of golf bags diagonally. Additionally, the materials used in the Stinger’s cabin are a step higher than those used in Kia’s previous passenger cars, with metallic controls and soft touches. It does not quite measure up to luxury standards, but it comes close.
Engine
The Stinger GT-Line gains a new engine, which shares a 2.5-liter turbo-4 with the K5 GT and Sorento SUV. It produces more torque at the low end and has a different first gear ratio than the conventional engine, and it feels faster than the 4.7-second 0-60 mph time says. The top speed with summer tires is a staggering 167 miles per hour. The steering is accurate on the Stinger, and the ride is really comfortable. While the car is comfortable on twisting roads, it is a little too heavy and lacks the agility of some other sport sedans to be a track weapon. It’s a terrific vehicle for daily driving and the occasional weekend canyon road jaunt to break up the routine.
