2024 Kia Telluride Electric Exterior, Engine, Specs – The 2024 Kia Telluride three-row crossover SUV has received several honors since its debut in 2020, including our Best Car to Buy title. The Honda Pilot, the Ford Explorer, and the Hyundai Palisade are rivals.

2024 Kia Telluride Redesign
Telluride, the award-winning ski resort in Colorado, has remained almost unchanged. By 2024, all models will include a 10.3-inch touchscreen and automated temperature control, with the LX and S adding stop-and-go adaptive cruise control. The beautiful 2024 Telluride offers the ideal balance between angles and curves, with a shape that flows from rustic to modern with ease. The outside is appealing, but the interior is more so, especially the SX’s quilted Nappa leather and wood trim.
While performance is not comparable, Telluride’s 291-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 engine, and eight-speed automatic transmission provide enough acceleration to the front or all four wheels. The Telluride’s ride quality is exceptional, especially when compared to the aged Pilot and the too sensitive Explorer: it absorbs road imperfections while towing up to 5,000 pounds. The fuel economy is mediocre, and a hybrid option is not available.

Interior
The length and breadth of the Telluride permit seating for up to eight passengers in comfort. It receives a nine for comfort since it is well-constructed, well-appointed, and has enough baggage storage. With a wheelbase of 114.2 inches and a total length of 196.9 inches, the Telluride resembles the Hyundai Palisade in size. In entry-level crossovers, the seats are made of synthetic leather and are adjusted by hand. In the S model, the driver seat is powered in eight ways.
The 2024 Kia Telluride EX and SX SUVs provide leather upholstery and a motorized passenger seat as standard equipment; the SX additionally has nappa leather upholstery. In every Telluride we’ve driven, the driving position and space around the front passengers, as well as the small-item storage for keys and iPhones, have thrilled us. For the second row, a bench seat or two captain’s chairs are offered. In either case, the Telluride fits huge adults with ease.
The seats fold and slide forward to provide access to the third row. Additionally, adults may utilize the third row seats for small excursions. We regret omitting a trigger warning when revealing the Telluride’s hidden purpose, as the rear seat is comparable to that of many minivans. Below the third row, there is approximately 21 cubic feet of room for goods. The Telluride has a 46-cubic-foot cargo capacity when the seat is folded down. The storage capacity grows to 87 cubic feet when the middle seats are folded down.
Engine
The Telluride shares its 3.8-liter V-6 engine with the Hyundai Palisade, which makes 291 horsepower. When combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, it is capable of driving either the front wheels or all four axles. The curb weight of the highest trims is around 4,500 pounds. This weight distribution, as dictated by physics, permits the vehicle to accelerate gently rather than rapidly. The automatic transmission is always prepared for a quick and snappy shift, but selecting sport drive mode reduces the vehicle’s already poor gas mileage. The Kia’s V-6 engine lacks the Honda’s throaty rumble, but it is protected by thick glass.
The Telluride has higher towing capability and acceleration. It can tow 5,000 pounds when equipped with all-wheel drive, and with its all-wheel-drive system locked in a 50:50 power split at speeds up to 40 miles per hour, it is a terrific weapon for cutting through snow-covered highways when necessary. Despite having standard 20-inch wheels, the Telluride’s ride is enough to garner admiration. Lower-quality cars, which we didn’t test, may be able to take more high-speed bumps, but the Telluride SXs and EXs we drove were very good at getting rid of unsightly pavement ripples.

2024 Kia Telluride Release Date and Price
The Telluride LX begins at $34,015 and comes standard with seating for eight, power features, a 10.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The $43,915 Telluride SX is tempting, but we would choose the $39,015 Telluride EX, which has leather upholstery, a power tailgate, a sunroof, and ventilated front seats.
